Greg Stranger
Principal
Mr. Stranger is the founder and a Principal of Capital Defeasance Group, LLC. Prior to co-founding the firm in 2006, Mr. Stranger was a Manager at The Boston Consulting Group, a premier management and strategy consulting firm.
Before joining The Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Stranger was Director of Interest Rate Derivatives for a major investment bank. He has experience with a wide variety of fixed income products, including government bond trading, asset backed securities, interest rate derivatives and other structured financial products. He has structured over $50B of swaps, swaptions, caps/floors, collars and various exotic derivatives and oversaw one of the largest interest rate derivatives portfolios on Wall Street.
During six years at BCG, Mr. Stranger was a leader in the firm’s financial services and sales, marketing and pricing practices. Much of his work focused on leading projects involving CEO-level strategic issues for Fortune 100 financial services clients. He has led several projects concerning lending and capital markets strategy for major domestic banking clients. His direct responsibilities at BCG included client development, project scoping, strategic project direction, strategy implementation and project management.
Mr. Stranger holds PhD and Masters degrees from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Northwestern University and a BA in Economics from The University of Chicago.
